I hate that the only thing they changed across the models was the textures. He would have looked so much cooler if they went all the way with integrating the original armor sets.
Is it me or did this alts become kind of lazy after Smash 4? Like, in Smash 4, his white costume and his Fierce Deity costume had the actual designs of the originals. With the white costume, they even added an additional piece of leather to his stomach, like in Skyward Sword. And with the Fierce Deity, they had his chest armor.
Here, it's just 2 models with recolors, nothing else. And Dark Link got done extremely dirty by that, it looks really off without the wrist guards or the gloves. It's just… Weird.
My family was late to the Switch train and we don’t have Smash Ultimate yet, but I got broken with Link in Super Smash on the WiiU so I think I know what I’ll be maining in Ultimate.
Not everyone is here, not previous Smash versions of the Triforce Trio. Though, there are work arounds.

The red tunic is more a reference to the red tunics from past games, alttp oot ladx etc. Whereas the white tunic is actually a reference to zelda 1 when you get the blue ring, seeing as link has had that costume since melee
Tell me you know fuckall about zelda games without saying it directly. Link wears a red tunic in several games before BOTW was even a fucking pipe dream.

The red tunic was actually from oot (an actual armor set, the goron tunic ) instead of botw

It's a shame that Samus only gets color swapped rather than having different shapes for the various suits she's worn in her games.
